Appalachian Potters' Market

This year's featured potter is Brenda Schramm.  Brenda owns Flame Pottery and is a well known western North Carolina clay artist.  Her 24 years of design experience, creates beautifully finished work.  Usually, Brenda's pots are a red stoneware, thrown on the pottery wheel, featuring hand crafted stamp designs. 

The Appalachian Potters' Market is in its 32nd year, hosted by the McDowell Arts Council with 66 participating NC clay artists.  Join us between 10-4, admission is $5 for 16 years of age and above.  The market is held inside Marion's McDowell High School Gym with free parking.  

Directions:  I-40/Exit 85/US 221 North/Marion - Driving north on US 221, passing Hampton Inn on the left to the next stoplight.  Turn left onto By-Pass US 221/226 North, continuing to intersection/light at US 70.  Turn left onto US 70, passing McDonald's, Lowe's Hardware to stoplight at high school entrance.  Turn left, gym is at top of hill on the right.
