This weekend, September 17th and 18th, is packed with fun and adventure!  Saturday is the BIG day, in our region of the Blue Ridge with a Revolutionary War re-enactment hosted by the Orchard at Altapass.  Stop by around 1:00 pm on Saturday, at Milepost 328.3 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, to observe members of the Overmountain Victory Trail Association recall events and actions that led to the march from Tennessee to Kings Mountain. No Admission!

Also on Saturday between 10-5, stop by Mountain Gateway Museum in Old Fort for their annual Railroad Day Celebration.  This year's activities includes a trolley ride from the Old Fort Train Depot to Andrews Geyser.  Trolley rides are $2.00 each, children 5 and under are free.  No admission to the museum or depot!

There is still time to register for the Annual Lake James Triathlon at Lake James State Park, Paddy's Creek Area!  This one also takes place Saturday morning, followed by the Catawba River Festival in the afternoon.

Find additional activities on our calender, or follow our Facebook page at Blue Ridge Travelers!
