This morning's drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway, included the section north of Linville Falls. Today, the REDS are beginning to come out. A few Maples and Sycamores are adding to the color scheme, with approximately 30% of leaves showing their fall coats. Check out our Facebook page to see additional photos and video.
Northern regions of the Parkway and those above 3,000 feet will probably peak next weekend. That prediction closely follows the fall leaf forecast by professionals. October 21st is predicted to be peak for the elevations below 3,000 feet.
Our Blue Ridge Mountains are beautiful year-round, however, visit between now and the end of October and we'll point you in the "right" direction for leaf color!
