I never tire of these splendid Blue Ridge Mountain views. They are spectacular year-round. But, you're here because of the changing leaves! Over the weekend, we continued to see temperatures in the 80s without any significant rainfall. Nights are cooler, and as we enter the first week of October, colors should begin to rapidly change.
Today, the views are predominantly green. A few Birch, Beech, and Sourwood trees are showing their yellows and reds. With the changing elevations, come changing colors. By the first weekend in October, professional "leaf watchers" predict elevations of 3,000+ feet above sea level will share brilliant colors.
If you're looking for lesser known areas of the Blue Ridge, we're right here! It's time to make reservations and enjoy this special time of year with the Blue Ridge Traveler. Check out our lodging options and schedule your next get-away.
