Cherokee Attack on Davidson's Fort Reenactment

Davidson's Fort Historic Park

Davidson’s Fort Historic Park presents a reenactment of the Cherokee attack on the Fort, a significant event in the history of Western North Carolina at the beginning of the Revolutionary War that would bring about the destruction of the Indian towns and forever change the Cherokee way of life. From 10am to 4pm view Native American artifacts, and learn their story of the period, play various children's games, watch Militia drill of Flintlock and Cannon as well as various demonstrations throughout the day including “The Soldier’s Kits”, tools of the period, making a Corn Husk doll, learn to use a Lucet and much more. Working Tavern will be selling cold drinks. Gate admission is $5.00, age 13 and above; age 12 years and under are free.
