The Orchard will continue to follow North Carolina COVID-19 safety guidelines. Masks will be required inside the barn area and social distancing will be practiced. Check the N.C. government website for COVID-19 updates and restrictions. https://www.nc.gov/covid-19/staying-ahead-curve

Store surfaces will be regularly sanitized and Orchard staff are encouraged to wear non-surgical masks and gloves.  All tasting and sampling stations have been closed.

Beginning in June, outdoor musical performances will take place. Check the Orchard site or our event calendar for dates and hours.

Legendary Charlie McKinney made his home here. Now, the site is much more than a century old apple orchard. Take home unforgettable memories of bluegrass music, hay rides, clogging, mountain cooking, area artists and craftsmen, original plays, storytelling and much more. Homemade treats, fudge, ice cream and the lunch wagon will fill your tummy, not to mention the delicious heirloom apples!  Milepost 328.3 on the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Open May through October.  Check their website, sometimes they extend the season into the first week or so in November...you never know how long the leaf colors will be here!
