The Catawba Falls trail will close on May 2, 2022, and remain closed until spring of 2023. The popular Old Fort area trail will be closed for 9-12 months to ensure the safety of the public and construction crews building retaining walls, boardwalks, staircases, and overlooks. During your vacation, we'll help you find local produce and other regionally grown foods. Each Tuesday and Saturday, Marion hosts a tailgate market at 67 W. Henderson Street, in the heart of The 310 District. Call to request this brochure/map. Thursday between 2:30 and 6:00 pm Old Fort's farmers' market takes place on the grounds of Mountain Gateway Museum.  Stop by 24 Water Street.

Listen to Tou Lee, a local Marion farmer describing the conditions at his rice field.  Lee and his family operate Lee One's Fortune Farm.  Their crops are an important part of western North Carolina's Hmoung community.  https://asapconnections.org/?s=lee+fortune
