St. Patrick's Day music with the Boys of Buncombe

Meet the Boys of Buncombe, an Asheville area Celtic trio founded 20 years ago. Featuring fiddler Steve Trismen and guitarist/accordionist Steve Burnside. The Boys have been performing around WNC for 2 decades playing pub favorites, exciting fiddle tunes and rowdy drinking tunes. Drawing from traditional Celtic elements of the likes of groups like the Clancy Brothers, the Chieftains & Sharon Shannon, the Boys mix in seasoned and contemporary pub tunes and sing-alongs along with snippets of the Pogues, Boiled in Lead, Black Flag and the Dropkick Murphy’s. With the addition of Irish whistle player Richard Ferry, the trio dives deep into the emerald tradition of jigs, hornpipes, reels and waltzes.
