Summer Boat Tour at Lake James

2 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Lake James State Park - Visitor Center

Lake James hosts many species of waterfowl during their return migration north, as well as the critters that stay here year-round.

Ranger Veasey is captain and guide aboard the park patrol boat in search of loons, otters, bald eagles and scenic vistas. The weather could be blustery, so dress warmly.

Dogs are not allowed on the boat tours.

Registration is required - https://www.ncparks.gov/state-parks/lake-james-state-park/events/boat-tours/registration

Note: You must bring a life jacket for participants under the age of 7. The park does not have infant or child vests available.

Meet at the Paddy's Creek Area East Picnic Shelter at 9:45 a.m. for a briefing and prompt departure at 10 a.m.
