Leapin' Leap Day! (Sensory-Friendly) at Lake James

4 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Lake James State Park - Visitor Center

Join us for a once-in-a-four-years event on Leap Day. Learn all about rabbits, one of the park's most iconic leaping animals. Ranger Hughes will be at the Paddy's Creek Visitors Center at 4pm to introduce some real live bunnies, followed by a self-guided sensory walk from the classroom down to the Cove Bridge.

This will be a sensory-friendly* program that will last 20-30 minutes. All ages are welcome.

*Sensory-friendly events are intended to create a welcoming space for neurodivergent (autistic, ADHD, etc.) learners. However, anyone is welcome to attend. There will be tools and accommodations available to reduce the impact of adverse light and sound. If you have specific suggestions for best supporting your learner, please reach out to Lake James State Park directly.
