The Catawba Falls trail will close on May 2, 2022, and remain closed until spring of 2023. The popular Old Fort area trail will be closed for 9-12 months to ensure the safety of the public and construction crews building retaining walls, boardwalks, staircases, and overlooks. Setrock Creek Falls

This one includes four distinctive levels, totaling 50 feet of falling water.  

Refer to directions for Roaring Creek Falls to FS 472, FS 472 becomes gravel after 0.8 miles.  Picnic tables on the south Toe River at 1.5 miles.  Neal's Junction (take right fork) is at 2 miles.  

Turn into the Black Mountain Campground, over a street on concrete bridge, go left towards Briar Bottom (group campsite). Park in small area on right, before gate and begin hiking up gravel road.  

Distance is 1.4 miles round trip, easy hike.
